Jeanette Simpson, RID, ASID

Jeanette H. Simpson is a professional member of ASID, an NCIDQ Certificate holder and a licensed Interior Designer in Florida. Her commercial design experience also includes hiring, training, and mentoring interns and new employees. As a mother, grandmother, coach, and teacher, Jeanette has spent her life teaching youth the value of a strong work ethic. She is the owner of KidSpace Interiors, specializing in design of children’s spaces. She is the Author of “From Interior Design Intern to Employee: How to be a Keeper”.

Design Sherpa

Current and Alumni students competed in the Design Sherpa contest. This year’s contest:  “What inspires you?” The following are some of the winner’s entries.  Summer Bell won the contest winning $10,000 and a 10-day trip to Paris.

LaRayne Lundell, IIDA

LaRayne was the IIDA Southwest Chapter VP of Professional Development. She is both an Interior Designer and Project Manager. LaRayne advised students on different professional situations and how to plan life and work to fit together. She shared many of her design projects with students and explained how she came to solve design problems for those projects.

Alessandro Dini Ciacci

Alessandro is the President of Penelope Tex located in Italy. Penelope Tex and the Interior Design Department are announcing a student textile design competition. The students are to design a textile suitable to be used in an LDS Temple or other significant project. The winners of the competition will receive an actual woven sample of the fabric. 


Vicki Talmage


Vicki Talmage has been practicing and teaching the art of living well for the last 30 years. 


Catalyzed by her own journey to free herself from degenerative disease, she stepped out of the medical profession and into alternative health care at the advice of her colleagues. Vicki studied the Dr. Wood colonics method under Darlene Macey, never intending colon therapy to be her career. 


Using colonics, raw foods, wheat grass juice, and simple herbs, she healed her body. She has been vegan for 31 years and raw vegan for the last 20 years. 








Russ and Tamara Rowley

Russ Rowley is a representative for Mountain West Marketing. He represents Delta and Brizo brands for residential kitchen and bath fixtures. He showed students the different products he supplies and the new products that are coming out in the next year. 

Tamara Rowley is a designer at Schumacher Tile and Stone. She designs residential kitchen and baths. Tamara shared projects that she has worked on and some samples of the Schumacher Tile and Stone company.
